Rev. S. G. Griffis died at his home in Baldwin, Kansas, Friday, May 23, of paralysis at the age of 79 years. Funeral services were held at the home Saturday after, which which the body was shipped to Olathe Saturday 4 evening for burial. Rev. Griffis lived in Olathe a number of years ago and preached through this county. He is survived only by a widow as his family which consisted of two girls, are dead, one having died while they resided here and the other while they were making their home in Topeka.
