MRS. LEVANTIA FISHER DIES

Widow of Johnson County's First Probate Judge Was 88 Years Old

OLATHE, KAS., Feb. 27. - Mrs. Levantia Fisher, widow of William Fisher, Johnson County's first probate judge, and daughter of pioneer Johnson County, residents, died last night at her home here. She was 88 year old.

A native of Cleveland, Mrs. Fisher rode in a covered wagon with her parents to Johnson County in 1857 at the age of 11. Seeking a place to settle, the family passed through Olathe, and Mrs. Fisher met for the first time the man she married later. Mr. Fisher at that time was aiding in planning the town of Olathe.

the family settled in historic Lanesfield, at that time an expanse of plain. Mr. Fisher became the county's first probate judge, and journeyed to Lanesville inn 1863 to web Mrs. Fisher.

They lived many years on a farm near McCamish, in the southwest corner of the county. They moved to Oalthe in 1890. Mr. Fisher died in 1904.

Mrs. Fisher leaves a daughter Mrs. Corgie Williams of the home; five grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow at the Julien chapel in Olathe. Burial will be in the Olathe cemetery.
