The Life of Memory David Endecott

Memory David Endecott passed away March 8, 2015 in his home. He was born on May 15 1942 to Blanch and Alva Endecott in Pleasanton, Ks. the youngest of eight. Where he grew up and went to school. After graduating high school he attended Pittsburg State University for a year before joining the Kansas National Guard. While in the National Guard he worked at a filling station as a mechanic in Kansas City when he met his wife Cynthia Eggum "Cindy" and got married April 24 1965. They had their first child April on Nov 21 1965. They moved to Olathe in 1966 and Dave starting working as a carpenter learning to be a trim carpenter. They had their second child David on Sept. 1 1970. After working for a few years as a carpenter Dave wanted to build new homes so in 1976 he started Endecott Construction building houses on the west side of Olathe until 1980. He worked at Sunflower Ammunition as a carpenter at the facility buildings repairs. While there he also ran a remodeling business. Then in 1983 their son Sean was born Sept 28th. Dave worked at Sunflower until it closed in 1992 then he worked full time running his remodeling business until 2001. He lost his wife Cindy Sept 30 2001 to Heart disease.

Dave enjoyed attending Church every Sunday and often offering to work at the Church and help others at his own expense. He spent many years of his life devoted to growing his relationship with God. He was a beloved member to The Westside Church of the Nazarene in Olathe until 2013 where he joined Mill Creek Community in Shawnee. There he enjoyed meeting new people and building new relationships where he lived and in the church just as he had done for many years of his life. Selfless, loving, and friendly he spent many of his remaining years writing letters, notes, and favorite bible verses and sharing those thoughts and experiences with those he loved.

Dave has eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Bud, Richard, and Gale, three sisters Dorthy, Evelyn, Reeva Jean and his wife Cynthia. He is survived by his sister Marjorie, daughter April and Ron Shanley, sons David and wife Rhonda, Sean and wife Alicia, grandchildren James Endecott, Harmony Beyers, Ronald Matthew Shanley, Jesse Shanley, Cynthia Shanley, Megan Haas, Matthew Decker, Aislyn Endecott, Taegan Endecott, Jocelynn Endecott, Reece Endecott, great-grandchildren Matthew, Mykinzie, Maylee, Mason Endecott, Avery, Kinsley, and Logan Haas, Ezra Beyers and many nieces and nephews
