DANIEL DURFLINGER
Daniel Durflinger was born in Ross Co., Ohio, Dec. 26, 1838 and died in Olathe, Kansas April 9, 1915, age 76 years, 3 months and 14 days. When a small boy he went with his parents to Hamilton County, Ill., and at the age of 20 moved to Levingston County, Illinois. When the war broke out he enlisted the 8th of August and, was mustered out at Washington City, June 8, 1805. He came home in 1868 and was united in marriage to Miss Mary Loure in Kansas in 1880. To this union ten children were born, five of which have departed this life and five remain to mourn his death, Albert, James, Thomas, Mrs. Louise Hover, and Miss Bessie Durflinger. He united with tha Methodist Episcopal church at Rooks Creek, Ill, in February 1800 and has been a faithful Christian ever since. The funeral services were conducted from the Methodist church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. Robbins officiating and burial made in the Olathe cemetery.
