The Life of Richard Thayer Dillon

R. T. DILLON DEAD

Richard Thayar Dillon, who was born in Doniphan county thirty-one years ago, died at his home in this city Thursday morning of last week from the effects of creeping paralysis. Funeral services were held from the M. E. church Friday afternoon, at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. Madison. At the age of three years he came to this city with his widowed mother who died less than sixty days after their arrival. He was educated in the schools of Olathe and was a typical Kansan, possessing a large heart which was always open to the wants of others. He was employed by J. H. Cosgrove until a few weeks ago, when his sickness forced him to abandon his work. He went to Hot Springs for several weeks, returning to Olathe only a short time before Christmas. Mr. Dillon leaves a wife and baby son, three sisters who are residents of this county and two brothers who reside in St. Joseph.
