The Life of John Evans

JOHN EVANS DEAD.

John Evans, an old soldier In the eastern part of Johnson county, died of apoplexy near Mastin, Kansas, December 27, aged 75 years, 11 months. Coroner Williamson had the remains brought to Ryan's undertaking parlors at Olathe and funeral services were held from that place Sunday afternoon at 3 p. m., conducted by members of Franklin Post, G. A. R. and interment was made in the soldiers' circle In Olathe cemetery.

Mr. Evans leaves to mourn his loss three daughters and one son, Mrs. F. H. McLanihan and Mrs. G. W. Patrick of Kansas City; Mrs. F. Richardson of Denver, Col., and B. F. Evans of Vlllisca, Iowa; all of whom attended the funeral excepting Mrs. Richardson of Denver. The family desire to thank the members of Franklin Post and other friends who so kindly assisted in the burial of their father and assure them that their acts of kindness shall never be forgotten.
