It was five months ago when Mr. and Mrs. Ekengren went to California hoping to benefit her health. They had planned to stay indefinitely and Mr. Ekengren, who has always been a carpenter and contractor, had just decided that he would not do any work.

However a former Olathe couple Mr. an Mrs. Henry Fick, were about to build a fine ne home in Long Beach, so they asked Mr. Ekengren as he was an old friend, to superintend the work, as they had so much confidence in him. The house as practically completed and Will's tools were packed up ready to take home. (More to obituary. Please contact Shelley for full obituary.)
