Obituary.

Mrs Celie E. Clarke, wife of J. E. Clarke, died on Saturday night last, of consumption, aged 55 years, 3 months aand 10 days. The Funeral services were held at the family residence at the corner of Elm and Cherry streets, on Tuesday, December 25th, at 2 o'clock p.m.,  and were numerously attended by a large circle of her friends.

Mrs. Clarke came to Olathe with her husband at an early day. before the war, and was intimately connected with all the earlier incidents in the history of the city. She was a kind neighbor, and was always foremost in all works of benevolence and charity. She will be sadly missed in a community where she has been so long and I favoral1y known.
