The Life of Johanna Marie Dribel

Johanna Marie Sundbye was born in Christiana, Norway in 1853 and died on May 12, 1934. She was one of the eight children born to Andrew and Abigale Sundbye, all but three preceding her in death, one brother, Rufus Sunbye of Keokuk, Ia, and two sisters, Emma Lane and Martha Kinney of West Plaines, MO. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, John Dribel, two daughters Mrs. Esther Story and Mrs. Sadie Jenkins; two sons, Arch Crane of Kansas City, and Charles Crane of Chatsworth, New Jersey; nine granddaughters, one grandson and one great grandson and numerous other relatives and friends. The eldest son, Albert Simpson, passed away in 1927. She was a member for 30 years of the Rebekah lodge, and was a Past Noble Grand. She was a member of the Congregational church of Olathe. A true and loving wife, mother and friend, she will be sadly missed by all. Funeral services were held at the Julien chapel on Sunday afternoon, May 13, at 2:30, conducted by Rev. S. Duane Ogden.
