The Life of Nancy Angeline Egelhoff

DEATH OF MRS. EGELHOFF

Died, at her home in west Olathe, Friday evening, August 5, 1904, at the age of fifty five years and seven months, Mrs. Nancy A , wife of J. M. Egelhoff, after an illness of nine months. The deceased had been a sufferer from cancer of the stomach for many years and together with her husband had traveled extensively hoping thereby to find a climate which might effect a permanent cure. But only temporary relief followed each undertaking of this kind. Specialists for her disease were consulted and all that wealth and kindly attention from a loving husband and relatives could do were in vain.

God had marked her for his own and having granted her the grace of a true conversion and fortified by the last sacraments of the Catholic church she passed to her eternal reward.

Mrs Egelhoff lived a quiet, unostentatious life while in health not, seeking the social position she might have occupied had she so desired. Her one thought was for husband and home. In sickness she was an example of patience, never murmuring at her terrible suggering.

She was buried from St Pauls Catholic church where a Requiem High Mass for the repose of her soul was celebrated by Rev. Patrick Mclnerney on Monday morning at 10 o'clock. The remains, followed by a large concourse of relatives and friends, were interred in tha Olathe cemetery. May her soul rest in peace. The bereaved husband and family have the sincere sympathy of a large circle or friends.
