On Monday, September 22, while Mrs. Martin Brubaker, residing on the Samuel Ernst farm, four miles west of Olathe, was engaged in washing, their little two-year-old daughter was so badly scalded by overturning a bucket of hot clothes from a chair that it died on Friday night last. The child was buried in Olathe cemetery, Sunday, September 29, Rev. J. H. Hershey of the Mennonite church officiating.
The parents have the sympathy of their friends in their sad bereavement.
