OBITUARY.

Mrs. Mary A. Curtis died at her home north of Olathe July 1st at the age of 86 years. Mrs. Curtis was born and raised in Ohio and came with her husband, Nelson Curtis, and five of her children to Kansas thirty-five years since.

She survived her husband about seventeen years and her death bed was surrounded by members of the family who eagerly watched over her. She loved her family as only a mother can; couldn't possibly do as much for them, as she would like to. She joined the Methodist church while young and lived a pious life. The funeral service was conducted by the Rev. Mr. Bowman of the Olathe Methodist church, who made a very appropriate address.
