The Life of Johnnie Ralph Cooper

Johnnie Ralph Cooper, 78, Olathe, passed away August 30, 2006. 

Services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 2, 2006, at McGilley & Frye Chapel, 105 E. Loula, Olathe. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to 

service. Burial in Olathe Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Grace United Methodist Church. 

Johnnie was born November 15, 1927, in Neodesha, Kan., the son of Roy and Nellie Cooper. On February 3, 1950, he married Goldie Lawanda McKay in Ottawa, Kan. 

Johnnie served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952-1961 and worked for 20 years in the Civil Service at Richards Gebauer Air Force base. He retired from the Air Force Reserves after 30 years of military service. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Glenn. He is survived by his loving wife, Lawanda, of 56 years; two sons, Max (Mary) of Drexel, Mo., and Randy (Mary) of Birmingham, Ala.; six grandchildren; and four great­grandchildren.
