At Rest.
Died, of consumption. In Olathe, Ks., Sept. 30, 1887, Harry P. Brickell, aged 32 Years. 1 month and 15 days.
He was born in Niles, Mich., August 18, 1855 where he resided until hee came to Olathe in the spring of 1878. He married Miss Jennie Foster April 14th, 1871. Two children were born to them, one oi whom (a boy) only is living. Harry was an enterprising citizen, of a bright, cheerful disposition, kind to his associates, with whom he was extremely popular, and always ready to do a kind act when called upon. As manager of the G. B. Shaw lumber yard in this city for many years, his acquaintance extended to all parts of the county and he did not have an eneny among them.
He took a prominent part in military matters, and was first lieutenant of the "Olathe Rifles" at the time of his death. While his demise was not quite unexpected, as he had been sick for over a year, still it was most unwelcome news to this many friends, a large number of whom followed him to his final resting piace. The funeral took place, in charge of the Odd Fellows, from his late residence, last Sunday. Rev. G.S. Dearborn officiating, and he was buried with ine honors or war by his old comrades in arms.
