The Life of Clarissa Bolton

Mrs. Geo. Bolton, who has been sick for several months, died Tuesday morning, Funeral services were held at the house Wednesday at 2 o' clock. Tne family has the sympathy of the entire neighborhood.

DEATH OF MRS. BOLTON.

The death of Mrs. Clarissa Bolton occured at her home five miles north of this city on the morning of October 18, 1904.

Mrs. Bolton was the eldest daughter of Williard L. Green and one of the pioneer settlers of Kansas. She was born December 5, 1847, in Newport, Kentucky and came to Kansas with her parents in 1858, first settled at Quin-daro, Wyandotte county, Kansas. She was married to George Bolton, March 10, 1867 and came to their present home the following month of that year, where she resided until the day of her death.

She leaves a husband, two daughters and three sons to mourn her loss. A daughter Mrs. W. Palmer of Spokane, Wash., and a son R. W. Bolton of Waterville, Wash., reached here in time for the burial. The funeral services were held from the M. E. church conducted by Rev. Henderson assisted by Rev. Garrett of Hesper, Kas.
