The Life of Dale Eugene Bunch

DALE EUGENE BUNCH 

Dale Eugene Bunch, 85, of Eudora, Kan., passed away December 26, 2007, at Olathe Medical Center. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 31, 2007, at Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, Kan., (913) 856-7111, with burial at Olathe Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2007, also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Hospital or the Olathe Masonic Lodge. Dale was born December 14, 1922, In Brookfield, Mo., to George w. and Dulcie (Godsey) Bunch, He grew up In Dallas City, Illinois. He served In the Army during WWII. In 1942, Dale married Marjorie Mae Crane In Olathe, where they lived for many years. He worked as a supervisor for the Santa Fe Railroad at the Olathe and Argentine Depot for 31 years. After his retirement he helped his grandson Tyler Lynn farm for 10 years. Dale was a member of the American Legion of Olathe, and the Masonic Lodge of Olathe, receiving his SO-year pin, and a charter member of the Olathe Trail Riders. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed fishing, farming and woodworking. He was preceded In death by his parents and his wife Marjorie In 1999 and sister Beryl Colliver. Dale Is survived by his daughter Sharon Maxwell and husband Jerry of Eudora, Kan.; son David Bunch and wife Sheri of Kansas City, Mo.; sisters Kay Sherwood, Norma Brandon, WIiia Covert, Frances Peterson, Nell Mutter, and grandchildren Heather, Tyler, Austin, Josh, Olivia, Jayne, Merit and Jennifer, and numerous nieces and nephews.
