RICHARD E. BOOTH Sr. 

Richard E. Booth, Sr., 87, passed away March 22, 2010. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home, 105 E. Loula St., Olathe, KS 66061. Funeral services will be 10 am, Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the funeral home with burial in Olathe Memorial Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Care Alternative Hospice, 1420 NW Vivion Rd, Suite 105, KC MO 54118. Richard was a proud veteran of WWII in the U.S Marine Corps. He was a high school teacher and coach for 40 years. He touched the lives of his family, students, and athletes in immeasurable ways throughout his life. He will always be remembered as a motivator and a man of great character who influenced all he met. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Jacqueline Burdette Booth; son, Thomas F. Booth; and 8 brothers. Mr. Booth is survived by his children, Dick Booth, Jr., Jerry Booth and Jan Glapa, 3 sisters, 8 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
