The Life of Henry Reider Hoover

H. R. HOOVER.

H. R. Hoover died at his home in Lenexa on Wednesday evening, January 10th, at 6:30 oclock, as a result of shock, following a surgical operation. He was 29 years, 4 months and 3 days old.

He was employed by Hodges Bros, as the manager of their lumber yard at Lenexa and was well liked and very popular with all classes. He was a sterling young business man and his death will be mourned by a wide circle of relatives and friends.

The funeral services were held at the M. E. church at Lenexa Friday at 10 o''clock and the remains were interred in the Olathe cemetery in the afternoon, the services being conducted by the Mutual Prorective League, of which he was a member.

Henry Reider "Doc" Hoover was born September 7, 1876 in Buffalo Missouri to John Anderson Hoover and Rebecca (Gillihan) Hoover.
He was married to Rosa Mae Witcher February 27, 1901. He was manager of the Hodges Brothers lumber yard at Lenexa when he developed appendicitis, which caused his death after an operation.
