The Life of George Willard Hambel

GEO. W. HAMBEL.

 George Wlllard Hambel, son of Richard and Sarah Hambel, was born near Beverly, Morgan county, Ohio, October 21, 1872, and died near Stanley, Johnson county, Kansas, a few minutes past midnight, July 27, 1906, aged 33 years, 9 months and 6 days.

 The deceased moved to Johnson county, Kansas with his parents in 1882 and has lived here ever since excepting one summer which was spent in Franklin county, this state.

He was married to Miss Edna Oliver Oct. 5, 1898, for whom he was a devoted companion. The deceased leaves a wife, a father, five brothers and four sisters, besides, a wide circle of friends to mourn his loss.

George Hambel was an affectionate husband and brother, a good neighbor, and a man who was ever ready to help .those in need, generous, charitable and honest, while his standing in a business way is first class. His wife, his brothers and sisters and other relatives worked hard and faithfully with the physician during his last illness to restore him to health but could not.

 "A precious one from us has gone,
 A voice we loved Is stilled;
A place is vacant in our home,
Which never can be filled."

Funeral services were held in the beautiful yard at his residence 2 miles northeast of Stanley and were conducted by Rev. C. R. Green of Spring Hill, who preached from the text found in 2 Timothy, Chapter II, verses 9 and 10 inclusive. , His remains were interred in the Olathe cemetery.
