John Mathias Plake, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. John V. Plake, died at Pawhuska, Okla., on Sunday, August 10. The body was brought to Olathe on Monday for burial and the funeral service was held at the residence of the grandmother, Mrs. John Nevitt, Tuesday at 2 p. m., and the body placed in Olathe cemetery. The child was born on January 26, 1902, 1; year 6 months and 14 days old at date of death. Cause of death cholera infantum. Duration of sickness 2 weeks and 1 day. Mrs. Sarah Plake, the great grandmother of the child and 84 years old accompanied the relatives from Ottawa to attend the funeral. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. R. P. Stevenson.
