DIED,

 

At his residence, in this city at twenty minutes past eight o'clock, July 13th, 18S0, the Rev. M. Wilkin, pastor of Reformed Presbyterian church, at PleasantRKidge, aged seventy years, eleven months and ten days.

 

Mr. W. had spent twenty-five years it the gospel ministry and when the close of his eventful life had come he could say, "I have lfought a good fight. I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." He spent several years in the pastoral relation in Sterling. N. Y., and was there, as here, greatly beloved by his people and community in general. He leaves two children and aged companion with many other friends to mourn their loss, but they sorrow in hope. His funeral took place from hsi late residence on the afternoon of the 13th inst., Rev. Dr. Williamson and Rev. W. McMillin officiating.
