Donald Benjamin Seem, 93, passed away July 25, 2010 in Olathe, KS. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 31, at 1 p.m., at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S Blackbob Rd., Olathe, KS, where the family will receive friends an hour prior to service time. Don was born October 13, 1916 in Kansas City, KS, to Shelby and Hattie Seem. He served our country in the US Army during WWII, and retired from Hallmark after 44 years of service. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, and was past-president of the church council. He is survived by his wife, Elaine; his children: Martin (Claire) Seem, Cary (Jean) Seem, and Connie (Jud) Barclay; eight grandchildren, and four great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Leo, Shelby, and Edwin; and his first wife, Dorothy, in 1972. Published in Kansas City Star on July 28, 2010
