William Ross Bilderback 

William Ross Bilderback, 74, of Woodstock, Ill., died Friday July 13, 2007, at Centegra Memorial Medical Center, in Woodstock. The visitation for William will be held on Thursday, July 19, from 6-8pm at Penwell - Gabel Funeral Home in Olathe, Kan. Graveside services, Friday, July 20 at 10:00 a.m., Olathe Memorial Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Hooved Animal Humane Society 10714 McConnell Rd., Woodstock, Ill., 60098, or to the First United Methodist Church, 201 W. South St., Woodstock, Ill., 60098. 

He was born February 9, 1933, in Olathe, Kan., to Jesse Ross and Della (La Verye) Bilderback. He married Joan Howe on February 2, 1957. William served in the U.S. Navy from 1957 to 1959. He was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of Kansas. William was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Woodstock. He served on the Boards of the Bull Valley Association. William loved horseback riding and was active in the Bull Valley Riding Club. He was an avid sports fan. But most of all, he loved his family. He is survived by his wife of 50 years; three daughters, Caroline (Howie) Sosin, Mary Beth (Michael) Collins, and Susan Salo; eight grandchildren; Benjamin, Sarah, and Matthew Ogle, Brian and Ashley Collins, Jeremy, Jack, and Carla Salo; and a sister Snowdie Martin. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John Bilderback; and a sister, Delphine Kelly.
