Died, at the home of his parents in southwest Olathe on Saturday, January 11, 1896, Edward L. Bellar, aged 14 years, 10 months and 25 days. The boy had been a sufferer for a good while with a diseased bone of the leg, which finally caused bis death. The funeral services were held on Monday at 2 o'clock p. m. at the Presbyterian church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. A. V. Stout, in his usually impressive manner, his schoolmates of the Eighth grade attending in a body and adding greatly to the solemnity of the occasion. A fine floral piece was sent by his schoolmaster. The family is entitled to the sympathy of all in their great affliction.
