OBITUARY.
Mrs. Mary Andrews, wife of R. W. Andrews, Esq., departed this life at the family residence, on Lulu street, in this city, January 2Sth, 1881, in the forty-ninth year of her age, leaving a husband, three children, an aged, mother. brother, sister and mourn their loss.

Mrs. Andrews was a lady ef rare virtues and social and moral excellencies, which won for her a warm place in the esteem of this community, as was clearly evinced by the unusually large attendance at her funeral, but it was in her family and In the presence of her children who now rise up and call her blessed that her influence was most conspicuous. She was kind and gentle and loving, and her death creates a vacuum in the hearts of her sorrowing friends which can never be filled. Her illness was of six weeks continuance but was borne with meekness and patience, and at the last the dear Lord gave her victory over tbe fear and sting of death. With words of love upon her lips and peace in her heart she folded her weary arms and, reposing upon Jesus, she sweetly slept. Appropriate services were conducted by Rev. Dr. Williamson assisted by Rev. Mr.McMullen. May the family meet again.
