The Life of Thelma Temple Alexander

Thelma Temple Hoover was born February 16 1906 and departed this life June 8, 1935 at the age of twenty nine years. She was born in Olathe, Kansas where she attended the public schools and was graduated from high school in May, 1924. 

In the fall of 1924 she enrolled in Stephen College, at Columbia, Mo., and was graduated from that school in June 1926. She was a member of Beta Mu Epsilon sorority. 

After her graduation she returned to Olathe, Kansas where she became a teacher in Washington grade school and continued teaching until 1928. 

She was a member of the First Baptist church and was very active in church work. She was united in marriage to Arthur Alexander at Olathe, Kansas, November 29, 1928, and has resided in Olathe since that time. To this union were born two sons, Charles William Alexander, and Robert Ellis Alexander. 

Surviving her are her husband, Arthur Alexander, her sons, Charles William Alexander and Robery Ellis Alexander; her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Hoover, her sister, Fern Hoover; and three brothers, Charles W. Hoover, James R. Hoover, and Hervert Hoover, all of Olathe, Kansas and many other relatives.

FUneral services were held in the Julien Chapel on Tuesday afternoon, June 11, 1935, at 3:30, conducted by Rev. J.W. Briggs. Interrment in the Olathe Cemetery.
