The Life of Guy Fredo

GUY W. FREDO SALEM - Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9, at the Lane Family Funeral Home, Canfield Chapel, 65 N. Broad St., for Guy W. Fredo, 65, who died early Thursday morning at Mercy Medical Center emergency room, Canton. Guy was born Sept. 8, 1950, in Spangler, Pa., a son of the late James and Lois Rhoads Fredo.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War, and came to this area in 1970. Guy had worked for Crane Demming for 10 years and United Foundries for 22 years and had been most recently employed at United Roll Forming.

He leaves his wife, the former Lynne M. Brown, whom he married April 18, 1983; a son, Justin Fredo, and a daughter, Dawn Fredo, both of Salem; five brothers, Gerald Fredo of Virginia, Gary Fredo of New York, Randy Fredo of South Carolina , Donald Fredo of Texas, and Terrylyn Fredo of Georgia; one sister, Zella “Sue” Johnson of Texas; and one grandson, Ethan Cannon. Besides his parents,
Guy was preceded in death by a brother, James Fredo.
