The Life of Elmer Petek

Chapel services and interment for Elmer F, "Duke" Petek, 95, of Euclid, will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015 at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, 11521 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township.
Duke Petek passed away Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015 at Heartland of Mentor.
Born July 26, 1920 in Cleveland, he has lived in Euclid for more than 60 years.
He was a World War II United States Navy veteran, serving in the Pacific Theatre.
Mr. Petek was employed as an inspector/foreman at the former Euclid, Inc. for 29 ½ years.
Survivors are his son, Bob Petek of Johnston, IA; daughter, Barbara (James) Peterson of Culebra, PR; longtime companion, Marjorie Galla; eight grandchildren and their families.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Agnes, on Jan. 11, 1998. His parents, Frank and Mary (Jernejcic) Petek and brothers, Frank "Cap" Petek, Ray Petek and sister, Mary "Mimi" Petek are also deceased.  Arrangements entrusted to Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, Willoughby.
