The Life of Ann H. Nici

Funeral Mass for Ann Helena (nee Artale) Nici, 87, of Moreland Hills, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Mrs. Nici passed away peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015.
She was born Aug. 26, 1928, in Cleveland, to Ignazio and Angela (nee Costanzo) Artale.
Ann graduated from John Adams High School in 1946 and continued to attend and enjoy yearly Alumni Reunions. One of her favorite memories was attending the Cleveland Indians 1948 winning World Series.
She pursed a R.N. degree, graduating from Lakeland Community College in 1973. Her nursing career began at Mt. Sinai Hospital as a medical/surgical nurse on A7 and continued as Director of Utilization Review until leaving in 1990. She continued to work at other facilities, including Geauga Hospital, Heather Hill, Marymount Hospital, Holly Hill and Montefiore nursing homes.
Ann leaves behind her younger brother, Joseph (Ilsa) Artale; sister-in-law, Marjorie Artale; sons, Carl (Cindy) Nici and Anthony T. Nici; daughters, Teresa Ann Harmon and Angela (Carl) Pulford; grandchildren, Angelo and Gina Nici and Audrey Pulford; great-granddaughter, Blaysie Grace; many nieces, nephews and cousins, and many dear friends, who were so caring and supportive during her illness, especially Eilene and Connie.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anthony C. Nici in 2000; and older brother, Christopher Artale in 1986.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 3 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, Willoughby. Interment will be at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her name be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110, St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, 2486 W. 14th St., Cleveland, OH 44113, or the charity of your choice .
