The Life of Elaine Holden Talbot

Elaine Holden Talbot, age 77 of Seymour, entered into peaceful rest January 17th; she was the beloved wife of fifty nine years to her best friend Robert J. Talbot, Sr. Mrs. Talbot was born April 27, 1930 in Fall River, MA, daughter of the late John and Angy (Plazzo) Holden. Elaine was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd, and resided in Seymour since 1970. Mrs. Talbot was a retired Health Care Provider from the Griffin Hospital, Derby where she was employed for twenty five years. She also retired from Spooner House Shelter, Derby where she was a Night-Supervisor. Mrs. Talbot was an avid reader. Besides her husband, Elaine leaves her loving family including three sons, Robert Talbot, Jr. and his wife Paula of Oxford, John Talbot and his wife Fran of Seymour, and William Talbot and his wife Cheryl of Meriden, two daughters, Elaine Arnone and her husband John of Bethany, and Maryellen Talbot of Naugatuck, grandchildren, Amy, Tanya, Melissa, Lisa, Brian, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Wayne, Johnny, Chantal, and Jimmy, great grandchildren, Callie, Ethan, Jordyn, and Maurece. She was predeceased by her son, Thomas Talbot, sister, Joan Oliviera, and granddaughter Angela.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road, Seymour. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may call also Thursday just prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Memorial gifts may be sent to St. Jude
