The Life of Isaac LaBauve

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette for Isaac "Ike" LaBauve, age 85, who died on Monday, October 26, 2015 at Cornerstone South Nursing Home in Lafayette.

Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Reverend Keith Landry, Pastor of St. Anne Catholic Church in Cow Island, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lector will be Rosalind Rivorie. Gloria Myddleton, guitarist, will sing for the services, " Only A Shadow", "Morning Has Broken", "In The Garden" and "Why Me, Lord".

Survivors include two daughters, Gloria L. Myddleton and husband John and Charlotte L. Boullion and husband Gerald; one son, Jason Paul LaBauve and his wife April; daughter in law, Linda LaBauve; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren and one brother, Willis LaBauve, Jr.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara A. LaBauve; his parents, Willis LaBauve, Sr. and the former Olita Sonnier; one son, Isaac Wayne LaBauve; a grandson, Justin Wayne LaBauve and two brothers, Edwin LaBauve and J Roy LaBauve.

Mr. LaBauve was born on September 23, 1930 in Scott, Louisiana and was a resident of the Lafayette area for most of his life. He was a veteran of military service and proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy. Mr. LaBauve worked for Sunbeam Bakery and also was employed with Evangeline Maid Bread Company until his retirement. He loved to fish and was a big western movie fan. Mr. LaBauve was a true cajun at heart and enjoyed cajun music. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jason Paul LaBauve, Gerald Boullion, John Myddleton, Shawn Thibodeaux, Seth Trahan and Logan Trahan.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Tristan Primeaux, Nicolas LaBauve, Josh Broussard and Maurice Primeaux.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN location on Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

A Rosary will be prayed Wednesday at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
