The Life of TIMOTHY ALLEN HOWELL
Timothy Allen Howell, 54, passed away Friday, October 23, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Iles Westover Chapel. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 27 at the funeral home.
Tim was born March 17, 1961 in Des Moines to James "Dick" and Deanna McVay Howell. He graduated from Urbandale High School in 1979. He worked as a trim carpenter and was a business owner for 31 years. He was an avid outdoorsman: hunting, trapping, fishing, canoeing, boating, and float trips. He enjoyed reloading his own shells, Cowboy Action Shooting and was a member of Single Action Shooting Society. He loved spending time at the lake house with family and most of all his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters, Beth Howell (Christian Velasco) and Jenny (Joey) Braafhart; five grandchildren, Noah Jeffery Howell, and Riley, Brianna, Bronwyn and Penelope Braafhart; his mother, Deanna Howell; brother, Marty (Allison) Howell; and sister, Kathy (Pete) Loew. He was preceded in death by his father, Dick Howell; brother, Jeffery Howell and his grandparents, Red and Elizabeth McVay and Ed and Fern Howell.
