On Wednesday, October 7, 2015, Joyce Ann Louviere Landry, beloved wife of 48 years to Mr. Glenn Landry, mother to Creig and Toby, was called home to dance with the angels. Her vivacious, quick-witted spirit will not soon be forgotten, and will never be replaced. She was a wife, a mother, a daughter and a sister. Joyce was the ultimate caretaker-to the family she so dearly loved and to the friends she cherished with all of her heart. During her 35 years of service in the Lafayette Parish School System, she was a mentor and source of guidance for the students that she impacted on a daily basis.

She was born Joyce Ann Louviere on December 20, 1947. She is survived by her husband, Glenn Landry; her eldest son Creig and his family, Natalie, Hannah, Zoe, Sydney and Chandler; her youngest son Toby, his wife Brandy and their children, Kennedy and Alex; her mother "Dot"; her brother Brian, his wife Mindy; her sister Kathy Brown, her husband Steve, and many nieces and nephews and her mother-in-law, Verna Hebert Landry.

She was preceded in death by her father, Euclide "Paul" Louviere and father-in-law, Linton Pierre Landry.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Louviere, Bobby Louviere, Manny Scott Menard, Pearce Hulin, Curless Melancon and Allen Credeur.

Her greatest joy in life was spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren. She found Twirling on the dance floor with Glenn and their "Pat''s Posse" friends was a fulfilling second love of her life. On the rare occasion she found herself with downtime, you could find her trying her luck at the casino.

To our "Lady in Red", may a thousand angels dance around you Mimi - Let our lives be a reflection of all you have taught us. With all our love -
