The Life of ADAS HOWARD JENNINGS

Adas “Bob” H. Jennings, 91, went to be with his Lord on September 18, 2015. A celebration of his life will be held at 10 AM on Friday, September 25, 2015 at Simpson United Methodist Church, 2600 Capitol Ave., Des Moines. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NE 60th Ave, Des Moines.

Bob was born the third son of William B. and Sue Della (Young) Jennings February 21, 1924 in Champ, Tennessee. After moving to Tulia, Texas at a very young age, he grew up on a farm and graduated from high school there. While serving his country in the US Navy, he met and married Evelyn J. Keller. To this marriage their daughter Judith Ann was born.

Bob and Evelyn enjoyed 66 years together until her death in 2012. Bob retired from Armstrong Rubber Co. in 1987 after 38 years of service.

Survivors include his daughter, Judy; brothers, Herb (Sue) and Don (Liz) Jennings; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Preceding Bob in death were his wife; parents; and 4 brothers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Simpson United Methodist Church in his memory.

Whenever I see a beautiful sunset, I will remember my Dad looking out a window, going outdoors, and coming back in to tell me, " Come out and see the sunset". He was amazed by God's beauty.
