The Life of Wallace H. Drake

 
 
Wallace Henry Drake, 89, formerly of Wickliffe, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Austinburg Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born May 4, 1926 in Cleveland, he resided in Wickliffe most of his life.
He served in the United States Army Air Corp in aircraft maintenance during World War II. After returning from the service, he completed his education at Wickliffe High School, graduating in 1946.
Mr. Drake was employed as a mail carrier and counter clerk for the United States Postal Service for 30 years.
He is survived by his sister, Janet Clark and many nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Waldo and Florence (Eville) Drake; sisters, Marian Burkhardt, Betty Toutant and Margaret Drake and twin brothers, Ralph and Raymond Drake.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home,  Willoughby. Private burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holden Arboretum, 9500 Sperry Road, Kirtland, OH 44094.
