The Life of Doris J Stark
AUSTINTOWN - Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 3, 2015, for Doris J. Stark, 86, who passed away on July 30, 2015, at ValleyCare Northside Medical Center in Youngstown.
Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m., prior to services at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
Doris was born in Warren, but spent her years growing up in Cleveland. She moved back to the area in 1972, where she spent the remainder of her life in Austintown.
She was a 1947 graduate of James Ford Rhodes High School in Cleveland. She was a member of the Western Reserve United Methodist Church. Doris was a member of the Welcome Wagon, where she would play bridge with fellow members and was also a part of a bowling league with them. She also belonged to a couple of other bridge clubs, and she loved flowers and her flower gardens.
Survivors include her children, Karen A. Lamm of Strongsville, and her son, Jeffrey W. (Susanna L.) Stark of Boardman; grandchildren Sara N. Lamm (Marcelo Guzman) of Parma, Briana E. Lamm of Berea, Nicole M. (Brandon) Evans of Jacksonville, N.C. and Matthew Stark of Boardman; she also leaves her great-grandchildren, Christopher and Nicholas Guzman.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Stark, whom she married on Jan. 20, 1951; and by her brother, Donald L. Applegate.
Burial will take place at the Green Haven Memorial Cemetery in Canfield, following the 1 p.m. service at the Lane Family Funeral Home in Austintown.
