The Life of Jessie Lynn Camel
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at a 12:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette for Jessie Lynn Domingue Camel, age 71, who died on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at her residence in Lafayette.
Entombment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Reverend Gary Schexnayder, Pastor of St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Lafayette, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Ray Domingue and Janice Delhomme Camel. Giftbearers will be Kirstie Camel, Kaitlyn Camel, Demi Duplechien, Mia Duplechien, Korin Camel and Adrian Rodriguez.
Survivors include one daughter, Penny Camel Duplechien and her husband, Blaine; one son, Nick Camel and his wife, Janice Delhomme Camel; grandchildren, Cory Lee Rodriguez and his wife, Jenci Broussard Rodriguez, Ty Duplechien, Kirstie Camel, Kaitlyn Camel, Demi Duplechien, Mia Duplechien, Korin Camel; two great grandchildren, Adrian and Max Rodriguez; one sister, Laura Sibille; one brother, Ray Domingue; one sister-in-law, Briggette Dupre''; her companion, Roy Bell and beloved dog, Tag.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edmond "Ed" Camel; her parents, Joseph Domingue and Noelie Dugas Domingue; five brothers, Whitley Domingue, Curley Domingue, Stafford Domingue, Milton Domingue and R.J. Domingue; five sisters, Ethel Domingue, Pearl Domingue, Gussie D. Chaisson, Louella D. Toups, Macel D. Moore
Ms. Jessie was born on August 3, 1943 in Lafayette, Louisiana and was a lifelong resident of Lafayette. She was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother and a friend to all. Jessie enjoyed the hobbies of dancing, fishing, golfing, and playing cards with friends. She loved her family and the numerous family gatherings. Jessie will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Blaine Duplechien, Cory Rodriguez, Adrian Rodriguez, Ray Domingue, Billy Toups and Danny Sibille.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN location on Friday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of service.
A Rosary will be prayed Friday at 6:30 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
