The Life of John Ross Landry

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015, at 10:00 AM in Martin & Castille''s La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette for John Ross Landry, age 54, who died suddenly on Saturday, June 13, 2015 in The Woodlands, Texas.

Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Reverend Keith Landry, Pastor of St. Anne Catholic Church in Cow Island, will conduct the funeral service. Lectors will be Harris Hurst and Austin Womack. Eulogist will be Parker Harthcock. Karen Broussard, organist and soloist, will sing for the services.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Landry of The Woodlands, Tx.; his parents, L.J. John Landry and Joan Sellers Landry of Lafayette; his sister, Dena Joan Landry of Lafayette; his step daughters, Bridget Harthcock and husband Greg of The Woodlands, Tx., and Ninette Womack and husband Cane of Baton Rouge; and his grandchildren, Chelsea, Kyle, Austin, Parker, Isabella and Peyton.

He was preceded in death by his brother, James Todd Landry.

Ross was born on October 3, 1960 in New Iberia, and was raised in Lafayette where he was a graduate of Comeaux High School. At age 21, he entered his lifelong career in the Oil and Gas Industry. During that time, he attended USL/ULL where he graduated with a B.S. in Finance. In 1996, he and Linda moved to Houston, Texas, and started their international travels where they resided in many places globally. At the time of his death, Ross resided in The Woodlands, Texas and was working as a Managing Director with DSI FZE based out of Dubai, UAE. His joys included outside activities such as biking, basketball and golf. He had a passion for football and loved spending time with his best pal, his adopted border collie, Brandy.

Pallbearers will be Greg Harthcock, Cane Womack, Kevin Freyou, Mark Dore’, Tim Dischler, Carlos Stout, Tim Musso, Mark Briley, and J.B. Broussard.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s SOUTHSIDE location on Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Memorial contributions can be made in John Ross Landry''s name to the Paralyzed Veteran''s of America, www.pva.org, a deserving organization that Ross and his wife Linda supported.
