The Life of SONDRA KAY ECKLES
Sondra Kay Eckles, 75, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Sondra was born July 26, 1939 to Tony and Doris Graziano in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a strong person and a polio survivor. She enjoyed her retirement and liked spending time with her family and reading.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Teri) Harlan, grandchildren, Amber (Ahe) Chinvan, Amanda Harlan, and Anthony Harlan, and great-grandchildren, Aleda Chinvan, Jaelyn Holister, and Kemry Harlan.
Sondra was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Larry Eckles, and many other extended family members.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will be 9:00 a.m., Monday, June 8, also at Hamilton’s, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Sondra.
