The Life of EVERETT JULIUS INGERSOLL
Everett J. Ingersoll, 91, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center.
Everett was born January 22, 1921, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Jared and Violet Ingersoll. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp from 1942 to 1945. Everett retired from Chicago Northwestern Railroad in 1982, after 38 years of service. He was a member of the Moose Lodge.
Everett is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Grace; son, Larry (Judy) Ingersoll; daughter, Gloria Ingersoll; two grandchildren, Diane (Jeff) Allen and Frankie Formaro; and a great-grandson, Jacob Allen. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Mike Ingersoll.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., with a Celebration of Life service at 7 p.m., Friday, March 9, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Cremation will follow the service, and a private burial will take place at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association in loving memory of Everett.
