The Life of Virginia H Krieger
Born on June 3, 1919, Mrs. Krieger passed away on May 6, 2015. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family and friends, carried her through a fulfilling life. The youngest of 8 children of William and Annie Wood, she was born and raised in Highpoint, N.C., the furniture capital of the world. She lived at Kent Ridge at Golden Pond Assisted Living where she met many friends. During the war she was a true Rosie the Riveter. She loved to travel, cook from scratch, work puzzles, play cards, and listen to The Gaither''s. She was a lifetime resident of Willowick and a member of Erieside Church on the Boulevard. Virginia was the loving wife to Robert Krieger to whom she was married for 46 years; a dedicated mother to Kathy Gordon and Thomas Krieger; grandmother to 8; and great-grandmother to 7. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service 11 a.m. Monday, May 11, at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, 11521 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland OH 44026.
