The Life of MICHAEL DALE HARPER
Michael Dale Harper, 53, passed away May 9, 2015 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Services will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines at 12:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior.
Michael was born on April 25, 1962 in Des Moines, Iowa to Gayle and William Harper. He graduated from Lincoln High School and then from Grandview College on a baseball scholarship as a second baseman. He then worked in the area of sales and most recently managed M&W Mini-Storage in West Des Moines. Michael was a passionate and avid Green Bay Packers fan, and sports fan in general. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his extended circle of friends.
He will be greatly missed by his parents, Bill and Gayle Harper; sister, Teri Best; nephews, Josh Beechum and Austin Best; great-niece, Alexandria Beechum; and his host of buddies.
