The Life of Timothy Campbell
Timothy E. Campbell, 77, a U.S. Army Veteran, of Mentor for the past 48 years passed away Friday, April 10, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born September 26, 1937 in Beaver Falls, PA. Mr. Campbell was a mechanic at Euclid Inc. for 28 years and then went on to work for Osborne Inc. as a block truck driver until his retirement. Tim was a member of the drag racing world for over 60 years, loved tinkering with anything that had a motor on it and especially loved spending time with his family. Survivors are his children, Cory (Don) Swindell, Lori (Tom) Hyatt and Tim S. (Janeen Clowser) Campbell Jr; grandchildren, Shawn and Don (Katie) Swindell, Tiffany (Shaun Pierce) and Nina Hyatt and Cassandra and Timmy Campbell; and great grandchildren, Christopher and Lily. He is also survived by his brother, his nieces and nephews and other beloved family members. He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra L. Campbell; his parents, Omar "Bunt" and Alberta Gorrell; and his sister, Dolly Jackson. Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Mentor, OH 44060. The family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chesterland.
