The Life of Mary Helen Schexnayder
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at 10:00 AM in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette for Mary Helen Schexnayder, age 76,who died on Friday, April 3, 2015 at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Pastor Jeff Ables will conduct the funeral services. Pastor David Baudoin will assist.
Survivors include her children, Clifton "Butch" Schexnayder, Jr., Anna Mae Hoey and husband Marty, Darren James Schexnayder and wife Kathleen, Elizabeth Marie Broussard, Katherine S. Broussard and husband Dennis, Carolyn "Peanut" Thomas and husband Dale, Christina Lynn Simon and husband Len, and Clayton Schexnayder and wife Christine; 25 grandchildren; and 35 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claybourne Daspit and Anna Mae Broussard; her grandmother who raised her, Edith Broussard; and her granddaughter, Christian Chantel Schexnayder Broussard.
Pallbearers will be Butch Schexnayder, Cory Simon, Joey Bourque, Jeramy Broussard, Anthony Schexnayder and Markus Benoit.
Honorary Pallbearers are Darren Schexnayder and Baylin Bourque.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN location on Monday from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Schexnayder family to, 100 Crocus Ln., Lafayette, LA. 70507, for a special memorial in their mother''s memory.
