Graveside services for Howard Speck Sr., 96, who passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 will be at 10:30 a.m., February 10, 2015 at Highland Memorial Garden Cemetery, Des Moines.
Howard was a loyal family man. His family meant everything to him and were his pride and joy. He was a devout Christian. He spent each day with prayer and reading his Bible. Howard enjoyed several activities. He was an avid golfer and also enjoyed league bowling. Howard loved to spend time on the water whether it meant a quiet boat ride or tossing in a line to fish. Howard was an accomplished card player and always looked forward to a game of cribbage by any challenger. Howard loved western movies especially those with his favorite actor John Wayne. Howard always said the key to longevity was to be happy and smile.
