The Life of SANDRA SUE SACHS
Sandra Sue Sachs, 72, passed away January 4, 2015, at her home in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born July 6, 1942 in Des Moines, the daughter of Walter and Severn Chivers.
Sandra was a lifelong resident of the Des Moines area. She was a graduate of North High School and Iowa Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing. She retired as a nurse from Iowa Lutheran Hospital in 2007 after 33 years of service.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Marlyn; son, Duane Sachs of Ridgewood, NJ; and 4 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Andrea Hasson.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening at the funeral home from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Iowa Lutheran Alumni School of Nursing Class of 1964, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, or Cure P.S.P Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
