The Life of William W Bundick
William W. Bundick - WWII Veteran
William Wallace Bundick III, son of William Wallace Bundick Jr. and Elizabeth Moore, enlisted in the Army during WWII. He was a cook for many officers during the war. The jeep he was riding in hit a land mine and all were killed except Wlliam.
For years, William suffered from shrapnel in his body. Doctors had removed all that they could. In 1957, the wounds he received from the war took his life. He left a wife Ruth Virginia Bloom, and two small children Nancy and Sallie.
William received a purple heart and an honor after his death from President Kennedy for his service./div>/div>
