The Life of LILLIAN LOUISE KARABATSOLIS
Lillian L. Karabatsolis, 88, was born July 30, 1926, in Stuart, Iowa to Oscar and Ruth Sheehan. She passed away at Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines on December 20, 2014. Lillian suffered from Alzheimer’s for the past 8 years and was cared for by her daughter Pam.
Lillian was united in marriage to Nick Karabatsolis on June 7, 1947. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family and cooking.
Lillian is survived by her daughters, Patti (Bill) Simpson, Peggy Karabatsolis, and Pam (Mark) Jones; 5 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Duff, and brother, Joe Sheehan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick Karabatsolis.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 28, 2014, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with visitation beginning at noon. Graveside services will be held at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
