Lenora I. Ebersole, 98, of Denton, passed away Wednesday, Dec 03, 2014, at home in Denton. She was born on Oct 31, 1916, in Stanhope, Iowa, to Florence Gertrude (Miller) and Peter Mons Hove. She attended Stanhope Public School, graduating in 1934. She attended Capital City Commercial College in Des Moines, Iowa. In addition to working as a skilled secretary; Lenora became an accomplished musician playing piano, organ, accordion, and autoharp. She met trumpeter Lowell Ebersole at Central Church of Christ in Des Moines and became his accompanist. On Aug 11, 1939, they married.

In 1947 they moved to Santa Barbara, California, where Lowell founded Ebersole Office Equipment. After retiring they travelled fulltime with their Airstream trailer. They were active and enthusiastic members of the Wally Byam Caravan and Good Sam RV Clubs participating in numerous rallies and caravans throughout the USA, Canada and Mexico. In 1995 they settled in Kerrville, TX, and in 2004, Lenora moved to Denton, TX, to be near family.

Throughout her life, she shared her musical gift by accompanying, singing and directing vocal and bell choirs. Her music was enjoyed at Good Samaritan Lake Forest until shortly before her passing.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Lowell, and her three siblings. Survivors include sons, Steven Ebersole of Frederiksberg, Denmark and Douglas Ebersole of Denton, TX; and daughter, Cathy Hansen of College Station, TX; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family is deeply grateful and expresses heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Lake Forest Good Samaritan Village for their loving care and support.

A graveside service will be held at the Highland Memory Gardens in Des Moines, Iowa, at a later date.
