The Life of Shirley Starr

Shirley J. Starr, 77, of Wickliffe, Ohio, passed away November 9, 2014 at her home. She was born April 15, 1937 in East Brady, PA, and she was also a resident of Euclid, Ohio for over 50 years. Mrs. Starr graduated from East Brady High School in 1955. She was a woman of faith, a loving wife and devoted mother. She was a member of the Nottingham Baptist Church for over 58 years. Mrs. Starr worked at Royal Appliance for several years. Shirley was able to share her love of baking and decorating cakes by teaching classes in the adult education programs in Euclid and Mayfield. Mrs Starr was a two time cancer survivor. She is survived by her sons, David A. Starr, William A. (Janine) Starr, Jr, and Brian A. Starr; daughters, Debbie Starr and Barbara (Bill) Hassett; grandchildren, Bradley, Brittany, Hayley, Megan, Jack, Ava and Tera; great-grandchild Ella and brother Homer Boltz. She was preceded in death by her husband William A. Starr. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Orlando-Donsante Funeral Home, 29550 Euclid Ave, Wickliffe. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Friday at the Orlando Donsante Funeral Home, Wickliffe.   Burial will be at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Twp, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Shirley to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave, Cleveland, Ohio 44110-9915
